IGP is used to refer to the process running on routers inside an organization’s network. It stands for interior gateway protocol. Usually used internally within an organization.

EGP is used to refer to the process running between routers bordering directly connected ISP networks 9. Stands for exterior gateway protocol. Used to transfer information between organizations.

DHCP

The client needs IP address, subnet mask, Default Gateway, DNS server address.

DHCP Discover packet finds the server and makes an offer, the client requests the IP address offered and the server enters into the database that the IP address is being used.

Your system enters into it's TCP database what DHCP server it used.

Layer 2 broadcast is 1.1.1.1

Broadcast is always the highest number it can be. Uses 255.255.255.255.

4 Step handshake is to ensure no packet loss.
