Lab 3.2 notes

ARP - ARP stands for Address Resolution Protocol, which is a networking protocol used to map an IP address to a physical address on a network. In simpler terms, it's used to find the physical address (such as a MAC address) of a device on a network from its IP address. This information is then stored in a cache (a small database) so that the mapping doesn't need to be done every time a device wants to communicate with another device on the network. ARP helps ensure that data is sent to the correct device, even if the IP addresses on the network are not unique.
